My military upbringing introduced me to different
people and cultures, but it would be my parents who taught me what true love was.
The secretive glances, shared laughs, whispered conversations, and loving touches,
exemplified the beauty of their relationship. You’ll discover that same
beauty and passion as my heroes and heroines navigate the course of true love.
That belief in happily ever after and my military childhood would also fuel my
overactive imagination. No wonder I developed this crazy notion of one day being
published. However, it would be years later, while at home with my daughter, that
I began writing seriously.
I mailed Magnolia Sunset,
my first manuscript to two publishers. One boomerang rejection had me rethinking
this great idea, then the other publisher said yes, and I’ve been at it
ever since. The Politics of Love is my fourth
novel and was a great deal of fun to write. Lace
was a finalist in the 2005 Gayle Wilson Award of Excellence Contest. I’ll
Be Your Shelter was selected as Shades of Romance Magazine Reader's Choice
Awards as Genesis Press Inc. Best Book of 2003. A short story, Forever
Mine, was published in the premier issue of the now defunct Arabella Romances
Magazine, and has been included on the site for your reading pleasure. The future
looks bright as I continue to dream, believe in love, and write. |
